Narrative Blog

One afternoon at Andrew Jackson Middle School, I was filing paperwork for the bookkeeper when I began to realize how much I have learned in just a few weeks of volunteering as the bookkeeper's assistant. From counting money to computer skills, the amount of knowledge I had in book-keeping increased significantly in a short amount of time.

I started to think of all the jobs these skills will be helpful in once i am out of college; The list is infinite. As I stared at the papers on the desk, I dropped an M&M in my mouth and began to daydream of my future.

One day, I will put all the skills I have learned to great use and become successful. A few moments later, I snapped back to reality when the bookkeeper called my name. I just smiled as I returned to my work, still thinking about the path that is yet to come.
